INDIA THE SUPER POWER IN WAITING

INDIA THE SUPER POWER IN WAITING

Independent India's first morning after independence on 16th August 1947.

India has got a clear mandate for a national party after 30 years and for the first time India has voted to power a non congress government at Center with simple majority. When we may look back after a few years from now this election result may prove to be one of the most important turning point of our country. For the first time since independence, we have got a Prime Minister who is not only bold intelligent and Visionary but also firm towards his beliefs, ethics, and proposed model of governance. Compared to Late Smt. Indira Gandhi (also a dynamic and strong leader) Shri Narendra Modi must be considered much much higher for the reason that Narendra Modi is what he is just because of his own making without any inheritance unlike Smt Indira Gandhi who has got a huge benefit of being the daughter of a dynasty family.

Shri Narendra Modi is one of the most hard working person India has ever seen who has totally devoted his entire life for the country in true and practical way. He is one of those rare politician with great brains and strong intentions which is very much the need of the hour not only for India but for the entire region in general. Now for the first time the world just as every other Indian may trust that we may become a Super Power in true means in all ways. India becoming super power would not only benefit India but the entire South and east Asia in particular and rest of the world in general due to our reliability attitude towards the world community. If Mr. Modi continue to be the Prime Minister of India for next 20 years as Congress did during its initial decades of post Independence then India not only would become a Super power but Asia would take up the position what Europe has in the world today.

To become a Super power we must become a healthy and wealthy nation with a high GDP and superior military power on land Air and water. To achieve the goal first our priority must be to increase our Forex Income by exploring more export opportunities and simultaneously fulfilling our Military requirements on time to time in full emergency. To stabilize and consolidate our economy the need is to identify those products which are consuming forex reserves as our countries strong and vibrant economy is directly depending on a strong forex reserve. So we must take all possible steps to reduce imports of fuel and more refineries must be operation in India as each and every drop of crude oil must be refined in India only. Production of each and every drop may be a distant dream but refining each and every drop any be accomplished which would save a huge amount of forex reserve to start with. More and more FDI must be invited through global tenders for investment in exploration of oil and natural gas. Bombay offshore, Bay of Bengal and other inland oil rich region must be explored in a revolutionary way. ONGC and GAIL must be governed and monitored closely to bring the best out of them even though they are the only PSU which is doing well in India as well as internationally. Another important step is giving full fledge initiative to use solar energy. More and more solar vehicle must be launched in both 2 wheelers, 3 wheeler and four wheelers apart from good public transport system in each and every city so that public where ever possible can try to use public transport instead of individual vehicles.

The coal blocks in India must be tapped to full potential and 51% FDI must be considered in this sector. A few coal blocks are not operational due to legal reasons and all the impediments must be uprooted and production must be streamlined at the earliest possible time which is one of the important raw material for cheap electricity.

Other important import which eats into our forex reserve is Gold. India is world’s largest gold consumer and the government’s restriction in imports has helped in smuggling in large scale which has reduced the income of the government. Government must bring about some smooth policy by providing bonds against gold. Thus public will bring the gold available in bank lockers out and will convert it for bonds after keeping a few essential for their daily use. This will help government to bring about a revolution in bullion reserves of the nation which could be very much encouraging and helpful in bringing in a stronger rupee. Further through proper method acceptable to all concerned the Gold silver and other valuable in various temples must be brought into the main stream. These valuables of various world famous temples like Tirupati Balaji from Andhra pradesh, Shirdi Sai baba of Maharastra , Sabarimala of Pandalam kerala, Mahakaal temple at Ujjain MP, Vasihanov Devi of Jammu Kashmir, Siddi Vinayaka temple from Mumbai and lots of other from various parts of the country. All these assets of temples must be credited to them by evaluating its market value and then only the amount could be used by government.

Other major steps are towards strengthening our energy production and minimize the loss of energy due to transmission and of course theft. Solar energy must be tapped for all commercial building with a proper policy on the same. Entire street lights in the country must be converted into 100% solar power. All the 5 star and 3 star hotel and all corporate building must produce electricity through solar power for meeting their day to day needs especially for hot water in the hotel rooms. The solar panels are said to be very costly but I am confident if it start manufacturing in large scale then the cost may not only become less but could be one of the cheapest among as due to mass buying the price are sure to come down. Irrespective of the outcome of the price the implementation of Solar power usage in hotels must be made as a rule. That would a beginning before we move on adding more into the same. All the villages through out the country must adopted by various big corporates on BOT basis for electrification through Solar power. Huge Solar plants must be installed at various postion as required in between villages through out the country and electric supply must be provided to all farmers field and house along with street lights. This step will generate huge employment to skilled and unskilled personnel through out and also indirect employement to 1000s for after sale services.

Further as mentioned above the power theft must be brought down at any cost and at any circumstances. For the same Electric city board must consider installing a common Master electricity meter on the main  road electricity poll and all the connections for the area must go through the meter. One Master meter must not have more than 250 or maximum 500 electricity consumers. By doing so we can easily calculate the reading of the Master meter and the net electricity consumption on the individual meters by adding all of them together. Thus if any difference is found the burden of the difference must be passed on to all of the them. This rule will help to eradicate the theft as the public themselves will come forward with objection if their neigbour is found involved in any malpractice. That is one of the easiest way to put the pressure of monitoring on the public itself.

Last but not the least but most important is to give 100% focus on education in a revolutionary way. Education only is going to awake the Indian poors. All the development works and positive policies may go in vain if the government fails to communicate it to the uneducated population as it always is a huge task to convince even the good works. In order to increase the literacy and achieve cent percentage in the same we can also use a very useful method like all the newspapers in the country can be invited and convinced to help open schools in each and every rural villages and adopt steps where in every villagers irrespective of  old or new will be taught to read and write and if possible even more those who are enthusiastic for the same among them. The reason why I suggested all Newspaper management because as on date the national average of the literacy rate are around 60% and among those literate who are good enough to read are around 40% and from the 40% those who really read are around 30% and from those who are capable of reading if we analyze how many of them are reading newspaper on daily basis it would be around 15%. So if all the Newspapers take initiative to invest their money to empower population with literacy instead of wasting the same on ads and all would not only benefit the government and nation but the Newspaper companies as well they may get more population as reading newspaper. The revenue jump that the Newspapers may enjoy in India due to their this initiative would be awesome and unbelievable for sure. I am glad if this piece of article reaches up to the notice of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and he gives his serious consideration on the above.
