On this Kerala's new year day, which is a special occasion of Vishu which is celebrated as a New Year all over Kerala, the southern state of India which is also known as God's Own Country, I wish all a very happy and prosperous Vishu.

Details of the festival Vishu and it peculiarities are briefed below.

Vishu (Malayalam: വിഷു) is a Hindu festival celebrated in Kerala, India. It is also celebrated as Bisu in Mangalore and Udupi districts of Karnataka, India. 






Vishu signifies the Hindu New Year and falls on the month of “Medam” in the Malayalam calendar, usually in the second week of April in the Gregorian calendar.

New cloths and fire crackers are the most normal way of celebration. Apart from the same on this special day which is the new year of the malayalam calender it is tradiationally followed by the keralites to wake up in the early morning and open the eyes in front ot the pooja room which is kept very well decorated with all kind of fruits and some special vegetable like “Padavalingya”
On the Kerala new year "Vishu Kani" cannot be any better than this...

A special flower is also adored to God on this day which is totally yellow in colour which is known as “Kani poov” i.e. “ Kani flower”  This flower are normally found only in this season.

Another important ritual of this day is all elders at home give some “Vishu Kani amount” in the form of coin which can be minimum “One ruppee coin” or maximum to one hearts content. It is considered as a very auspicious to receive money from elders on this day as a blessings.

Below is one of the culprits of the 16th Dec Delhi Gang rape. Who later was bold and blunt enough to convey in the BBC interview that it is a girl's mistake to roam around after 9 pm. I don't really know what to pen as the words are not enough to describe the pathetic condition of Delhi's life after realizing what has happened to the medical student a few days ago. More pathetic it becomes when we try to think over the sick mind of the persons who are involved in this heinous crime, especially when the turns are being taken one by one how to do they able to go ahead with the heinous crime after seeing the girl's health condition getting worst from the worse as the minutes are passing. Finally, adding fuel to the fire it is learned that they have inserted a metal rod into her private parts before dumping her out of the bus??? Mysterious Shivlingam found under Neem tree

The Shiva Lingam was found in the Big "Madiyur area near Minsur" that was dug from under the root of the neem tree with the help of Minsur Sivanadiars and villagers and made a temporary dedication outside the tree where a temple would be built soon. The above image is of the Neem tree and the view of Shivlinga beneath the tree.  After the necessary cleaning and adoration of the "Pristine Shivlinga," a small stop-gap temporary structure is created as seen in the above image where the Shivlinga's 'pranpradista' was done. The above is the Neem tree beneath of which the "Shiv lingam" was accidentally located.
