Cows are pristine for more than one reason.

·       Cow is the only animal which during 99% of its lifetime hardly get annoyed with the highest tolerance.

·.   The Cow is an animal which's milk and ghee has medicinal properties.

·    Cow is the only animal which waste after digestion (Cow dung) Gobar is highly rich in minerals like Manganese, Magnesium, Potassium, Cobalt, Iron etc which meets the basic need of our earth to keep itself fertile for plants trees and crops to grow.

·       Cow is the only animal which’s Urine (Gomutra) has immense medicinal qualities and it is being used worldwide as a cure for so many diseases like cancer, Tuberculosis, Diabetics, Blood pressure and lot many more.

·       Cow is the only evolved animal after Human beings where the presence of Godliness is ascertained within its bodies various position just as in with human beings.

I have reasons to believe that if the cow population comes down then the fertile quality of our earth may go down which may result in a catastrophic effect on the life of the planet and its inhabitants. We never know how the Almighty has interconnected the ecosystem of this earth. As we all know the role of Butterflies and Honey Bees in pollination and thus their role in the expansion of forest since the birth of our planet. Similarly, we may come to know about the role of Cows in fertilising the soil which in turn gives us good crops after cultivation. I am sure keeping in view the fact that Cow dung contains a high amount of minerals and its urines medicine value, there must be some very deep-rooted reality between Cow dung and fertility nature of mother earth which need to be understood by means of research and development by the concerned department.

An appeal to stop killing cows by mentioning spiritual knowledge about Cows.

Below is a piece of important information on Cow about Supreme Court verdict.

 The first thing that we must know is that there are around 5000 licenced butchers houses in India apart from a lot of butcher houses without licences which can go even above 50000. Lakhs of cows apart from other cattle animals like Buffalos, pigs etc are butchered every year.

Keeping the above matter in view a group of animal lovers assembled along with a social activist Mr. Rajiv Bhai and filed a petition with the Supreme Court of India in 1998. A few strong Sangh in the name of “Akhil Bharatiya Gou Sevak Sangh” and a few other similar Sangh associated with cow welfare and later Gujrat government too joined the cause. The argument from the side of butchers is why the castles should not be killed? Then on the special request of Mr. Rajiv Bhai and his associates, a special bench of 7 judges was created to hear the case as it being a sensitive national issue though the supreme court took 4 years approximately to agree on this. After the appointment of the special bench of 7 judges, and under the chairmanship of Ex-Chief justice of India Shri R.C. Lahoti hearing was carried out from the year 2004 to September 2005.

The butchers appointed some famous lawyers like Kapil Sibal,  Ramjethmalani’s son Mahesh Jeth Malini and Soli Sorabji. Rajiv Bhai, on the other hand, could not afford to employ a lawyer to defend his case and when he said this to court, the court offered to provide an assignment for him which he politely refused with a request to allow him to present his case on his own.

The points put forward by the butcher's lawyers are as below:

·        There is no use in saving an old cow. We are strengthening the Indian Economy as the meat is exported.

·        There is a lack of proper fodder for cows and cattle and hence it is better to kill them than allowing them to die of hunger.

·        There is no place for people to live in India then where the cow and cattle can be reared?

·        We get precious foreign currency with its export.

·        The most dangerous of all arguments is that it is their religious right.

Do you know who gave this argument? Among the Muslim community, there is a category known as Querish’s who among all Muslims kills most. It was they who presented this argument.

Without expressing any anger and with the immense patient, Rajiv Bhai presented the fact and figure for the ill arguments given by the butchers. For the first ill argument, Rajiv Bhai presented the evidence to court i.e if a cow is butchered then the country earns money as well as precious foreign currencies through exports. He started by presenting facts and figures on the scenario-

If the cow is killed then how much meat, blood and bones are collected. A healthy cow weighs around 3 to 3.5 quintal and when it is butchered around 70 kgs of meat is extracted. Per kgs, meat is exported at the rate of 50/- per kgs. So that means it gives 3500/- Rs. Now about 25 litres of blood is extracted out of same from a healthy cow which fetches about Rs 1500 to 2000/- So when ultimately a cow is butchered and sold as parts, then no more rupees 7000/- is earned.

Thereafter Rajiv Bhai presented exactly the opposite argument.

What if a cow is not killed? What if it is reared then how much can be earned out of it. Its calculation is as follows-

A healthy cow gives around 10 Kgs of Gobar(Cow dung) and out of 3 litres of Gaumutra(Cow Urine). Out of one Kg Gobar, about 33 kilos of manure is made which is also known as Organic Manure. At this point, the judge asked, How is it possible?.

Rajiv Bhai asked for some time and someplace to prove it. The court acknowledged and Rajiv Bhai proved his point by actually producing 33 kilos of organic manure by using one-kilo Gobar. He asked the court to call an IRC scientist to test it. After the test, it was proved that this Manure contains all essentials 18 micronutrients that soil a cultivated field needs like Manganese, Phosphate, potassium, Calcium, Iron, cobalt, silicon etc. Artificial fertilizer rarely contains more than 3 minerals. Therefore cow dung manure is 10 times better than artificial manure. This court acknowledged.

News about a special injection developed which will be given to Cow but it will not be killed but the flesh of the cow will become poison good enough to kill those who eat its flesh

Then Rajiv Bhai suggested that if it not against the court protocol then the Judge can come and see how we make 33 kilos organic manner from 1 kilo Gobar in our own village. He said that his parents are working on this for the last 15 years. Furthermore, one-kilo organic manure is sold in the international market for about 6 Rs. Therefore on a daily basis, 10-kilo cow dung fetches around 1800 to 2000 Rs. Then there are no Sundays or weekly off to getting cow dung and there in 365 days we can earn about – 1800* 365= 657000/- per year. On average, a cow’s age is about 20 years and it keeps giving cow dung till its last day. It may not beyond imagination that how much one can earn from just cow dung. It goes in millions- 1800* 365* 20= Rs. 13140000/-.

1000s of years back it was already written in the sacred book that the “Goddes Laxmi ji” resides in cow dung. How it could be true? This argument is a slap on the face of that alight generation who went through the modern education system who consider our religion, culture and teachings as mere hypocrisy and who laughed at the thought of Goddess Laxmi residing at the cow’s Cow dung!

A cow gives around 2.25 litres of Urine per day. Urine is useful in making medicines in diabetics, arthritis, bronchitis, asthma, tuberculosis, osteomyelitis and many more around 48 various other diseases. One litre of urine is sold in the market for about 500/- and that also in the Indian market and in the International market, a litre of Urine can fetch far more. Do you know that in America the Gaumutra Urine is patented ?. There is no just one patent but 3 different patents and the American government import Cow urine from India and make medicine for cancer diabetics etc. So if we calculate according to the American market then a litre of cow urine can get about Rs 1200/- to 1300/-i.e out of one cow’s urine we can earn around 3000/- Ruppess daily. Therefore in a year, we can earn 3000* 365 = 1095000/-. In 20 years we can earn 3000 *365* 20= 21900000/- million again by selling Cow urine.

The same cow dung can produce methane gas which can be used as an alternative to LPG in our kitchen to cook food and also to run vehicles yes even a 4 wheeler vehicle exactly the way the vehicle can run on LPG gas. A vehicle can also run on methane gas.

In human atrocities on Cows which must stop.

The judge could not believe it, Thus Rajiv Bhai said that if you allow then we will fit methane gas cylinders in your car. You can test drive it yourself. The judge used this for three full months !!!. He said the expense is also very less just  .50 to .60 paise per kilometre and in diesel, it comes around 4 per kilometre and unlike in diesel, there is no smoke generated on burning of methane thus there is rarely any pollution. Then Rajiv Bhai continued his argument and he explained if we get 10-kilo cow dung per day then how much methane gas can be produced out of it per year and in 20 years?. There are 17 crore cows in our country then if we collect cow dung of all these cows and use it to make methane then we can get about 1 lakh 32 thousand crores !. We can run our whole transportation without diesel and petrol. Then we won't have to beg the Arabs for crude oil and America for its currency to buy the crude oil. In this way, our rupee will also get strengthened.

Supreme court was shaken and stormed after listening to Rajiv Bhai’s calculations. Finally, the judge had to agree that it is far more economical to save a cow than to kill it.

When the court’s opinion came the butchers were furious. They thought that the case is getting out of their hand. They already told the court that a cow can fetch about Rs 7000 and Rajiv Bhai has proved that a single cow could, in fact, earn millions and even billions of Rupees. Thereafter the frustrated butchers finally played their trump card. They said that killing or butchering cows is their religious right.

Rajiv Bhai counter-argued that if it is their religious right then why don’t we go into history and find out how many Muslim rulers used this religious right. The court agreed and asked to make a commitment to finding, by making an in-depth analysis of all the historical documents. Whether or not the Muslim rulers in India ever utilized this right?

Old historical documents were researched and it was discovered that none of the Muslim rulers in India ever supported the killing of the cow. In fact against that, some of them made laws to stop butchering cows under their respective rule. One out of them was Babar. He had written in his book “Babarnama” that cows should not be killed even after his death and that this law should be continued. His son Humayun continued this law and many others who came after him including Aurangzeb. Other than that in south India there was a king known as Hyder Ali father of Tippu Sultan who made a law that if someone is caught killing a cow then his head will be cut off. Many were punished under this law.  Tippu sultan when he became the king then he also continued this law except that instead of cutting his head he would cut the hands of those who killed cows.

When these facts were shown to the court then Rajiv Bhai argued that if it was a religious right of a Muslim to kill cows then Babar and Humayun were staunch Muslims too and Auragazeb is even a stauncher, why they did not kill cows and made laws against it.

Afterwards, Rajiv Bhai asked the court to allow him to get the Koran Sharif, Hadid and other religious books and asked to point out where it was written that it is ok to kill cows or cattle. It was found that none of the religious books asks to kill cows. Hadid, in fact, asks to save cows as it says it saves you. Pegambar Mohd Sahid states that the cow is an innocent animal, therefore, one should take mercy on it. At one place it is written that if you kill a cow then you will not even get a place in hell.

So Rajiv Bhai questioned- if Koran Mohammad Sahib and Hadid say so then how is it possible that killing cattle or cows is a religious right? If there is any book in Mecca, Medina, unknown to him then the butchers can get that too. On hearing this butcher go mad. Then the court gave the butchers the last chance. It asked them to get any document, religious book that suggest and support the killing of cows. But the butchers could not get any.

In its 88-page judgement, the Supreme court created history. It says that to kill a cow is a constitutional and religious sin and it also says that it is the constitutional duty of every citizen as well as the government to protect cow as you may know some of the constitutional duties are to abide by the constitution, respect the national flag, respect freedom fighters to uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India etc and now it will also include protecting cows.

The Supreme court said that it is the responsibility of all 34 states and union territories government that they should stop the killing of cows in their territory. It will be the constitutional responsibility of the governor, the chief minister and the chief secretary as well.

And finally, how can we forget Mangal Pandey who sacrificed his life just to avoid cow’s meat coated cartridge getting in his mouth. He killed the English officer who forced him to do so. In fact, our freedom struggle started with the saving of cows. Therefore we should consider it as important as our freedom.
