ENVIRONMENT DAY AWAKE NOW OR NEVER
World environment day let us celebrate-
Onlooking the coming generation’s fate,
Reverie of a green planet let us fulfill-
Look, stop the trees from - ongoing kill,
Doleful condition of our mother earth, realize-
Every day it is deteriorating, bad enough to fertilize.
Nomads and peasant's life, no more a boon-
Vanishing the green belt, easier said than soon,
Ignorance and negligence together has grown-
Reverie of a green planet though has sown,
Often peasants migrate towards town-
Nonplussed with their heavy dues of loan.
Mother earth situation beckons us to awake-
Envisage implementing for earth’s safety sake.
Never forget to think and understand the three-
Trees are a must and replace with another tree,
Determine to make our earth polythene free
Amid concern of increase in heat- we all see,
You and I thus live, without the danger- to flee.

Holy mother "Shree Mataji Nirmala Devi's" Pravachan's a tiny extract on the issue of environmental and human attitude.
Yet again another world environment day has arrived and it is sad enough to acknowledge the fact that Human beings which are considered to be the most intelligent among all living species known on earth are the most rather only living species which has been instrumental in destroying the Earth’s natural ecosystem. No other animals or insects are in any way connected to the destruction of our Mother planet as we human beings are.

The reason behind the same is not the lack of knowledge but the additional quality of human beings which is “Selfishness and the attitude of ignoring the facts till it reaches the stage of inevitability. Global warming is a tragic situation that the earth is undergoing which is also a slow death trap of the planet. In spite of the same, we are busy continuing with the same agenda of pollution the earth with all toxic chemical wastes as well as through polyethylene wastes mishandling.
In the very first place, we must eschew producing all those materials which are harmful to our ecosystem from the very first day itself instead of allowing the same to grow with all the benefits and finally making a hue and cry when things take some fatal shape. USA’s announcement to withdraw from the Paris accord is another setback to the much-needed effort the world has been taking for a few decades though it is not going to implement the same with immediate effect and by the time implementation start the USA might be having a new President who may be a little more sensitive to the matter or concern for the mother earth as well as the survival of our future generations.
Above is a video of 'Breathing tree' to bring awareness of how trees are helpful in clearing the atmosphere from CO2 and releasing O2 and thus help the temperature cool down.
The responsibilities of safeguarding the Planet must be equal with all countries irrespective of their economic and geographical status as the wind and water know no boundaries and mistake and arrogance with nature of one country will put to suffer all countries on earth. For example if due to the carelessness and unfriendly attitude of Nepal, India and China may result in the melting of the Himalayas which may result in rising sea level globally which further may result in sinking a few towns and cities across the world. Antarctica is melting too and each year after year the temperature during the summer season are easily moving above 40 and even around 46 and above 50 at some isolated parts of the country on earth which are loudly and clearly not indicating but mentioning the catastrophic effects are on the cards if we don't awake from slumber.
We must make full efforts in introducing electricity oriented transport system and should try to switch to the solar mode of power generation with completely abandoning Coal, diesel and even gas at a later stage. Every hotels and industry must be asked to generate their own electricity either fully or partially through solar installation.
Plantation of trees must b made on a war footing and all the road dividers must be planted with enough trees and all the highways and other states main road etc must be supported with a lot of trees on either side of the road as well as on the dividers of the roads. The infertile land across the country must be identified and it must be allowed to occupy by some selected expert farmer families and they must be assisted to grow trees as well as start some suitable cultivation with expert supervision. Thus the planet can be made green and can be contained from further deterioration.
Better late than never…. Awake from slumber let us… now or never.
