For some political parties, their own survival is directly proportional to poverty and illiteracy of the country and inversely proportional to the citizen's knowledge and the citizens becoming wiser.

British did everything to lose Indians their self-esteem by destroying India's educational system and now some politicians are desperate to regain the power and just for the sake to form government doing everything to misguide, make Indians greedy, make them Irresponsible, lethargic, and lazy citizens... They are trying desperately to buy the morale of Indians by means of a clear-cut attempt to bribe them.

Future will never forgive the attitude of the culprit politicians who are trying to PUSH our country SHAMELESSLY towards darkness for their own Survival. It is a ridiculous state of affairs to find Congress busy playing politics of "poverty eradication" which they were doing since their first day on the job when they were in power in both centers as well as most of the states for most of the time.
Congress's offer of 72000/- per annum to the poor is another irresponsibility from the oldest party of India as the motive behind the offer was not due to their heart bleeds for the poor, but only to end their anxiety-filled days away from power. If the same has to be implemented not only the economy of the Nation will be at 'sixes and sevens, but the move may only help the poor to remain poor forever due to the trap laid to develop the habit of free money without working.
This is clearly a case of appeasement and open bribe to gather vote misusing the public's tax money.

I strongly recommend and urge to ban/abolish appeasement with any freebies. There should be a law in place towards the same.
Freebies' offers must be totally banned. It should be termed (considered) as an open bribe to the public to give them votes in return. It must be banned. The country will further remain under the grip of poverty if this is not banned as those under poverty will prefer to remain within their comfort zone.
Appeasement politics of freebies offers are due to 'last resort' to intrude into vote which is at the expense of nations growth... These freebies, impact the nation just like how if a man walking with a few kgs on his head... More freebies, more the appeasement, it is equivalent to more weight on the head, and less the speed of walking.. (forget running)... (that is freebies directly affect the growth of the economy).
Having said that, I don't suggest we should stop all freebies altogether on a 'blue moon day'... Instead, we should have the vision to end the freebies one day or other and thus the 'speed of walking can be increased' eventually we could run too sooner or later... Even after 70 years, if we still stick around 'freebies' to please (bribe) voters instead of helping them to become and remain self-sufficient through 'Mudra loans' for uneducated poor as well as educated entrepreneurs aspiring citizens..??? Which is good...
Uniform civil code: With the same rules for all citizens of India without any discrimination on any other grounds whatsoever it may be. Appeasement attitude towards any by postponing core issues related to this will have severe repercussions.
Compulsory Progress Report: Every government must prepare a mandatory progress report after their 5 years of governance with necessary data prepared by the respective heads of respective departments showing the growth story for the last 5 years so that just like how a students progress report is provided the government's progress report will be there and thus there will not be any room for assumption, controversy, blaming each other over the authenticity of reports. (The report must be verified by certain heads of department to avoid any room to play politics on the figures). The report must be published as News not as an Advt just like how elections results are presented.
