His role in the movement of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi is not small as during 1984 January at Pragyaraj (then Allahabad) the decision was taken collectively by Hindu religious and spiritual leaders cutting across every section of Hindus to lay the foundation stone of a Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya on 9th Nov 1989. It is believed that our then PM Shri Rajiv Gandhi too had visited him to seek his advice and blessing regarding the laying of the foundation stone. Shri Swamy Vamdev has not only played an important role in the Shri Ramjanmabhoomi temple movement but has inspired India's today Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah who was fortunate to have got the opportunity to serve this great soul. He had advised the then 21-year-old Amit Shah to visit Maha Kumbh Mela to understand and know the soul of Hinduism and the saints... Shri Swamy Vamdev uses to speak to Amit Shah when he will be serving the feet of the saint. Thus this association has probably one of the best days that happened to Mr. Amit Shah as he got imbibed the seed of spiritualism in him during this brief association. It is to be noted that on the advice of Shri Swamy Vamdev, Amit Shah did visit the Maha Kumbh and met numerous other saints whom he came across and thus he got a great opportunity which others of his age are normally denied.

Apart from the above Shri Ashok Singhal, Shri LK Advani, Shri Murali Manahor Joshi, Sushri Uma Bharati. Shri Kalyan Singh Shri Atal Bihari Vajpai, are the other few more names who have contributed to the Ayodhya Shri Ram temple which has become a reality. Above all this, the ultimate credit goes to our honorable PM of the country and our Home Minister Shri Amit Shah as well as our stubborn frank, and blunt Shri Yogi Adityanath who has taken the Supreme court into confidence with respect to the administrative part of the country which could evolve after the verdict.
The supreme court was shying away from the verdict for the fear of repercussions of the same in the community irrespective of the verdict. But the right administration and its assurance have emboldened the Supreme court to go ahead with the verdict which the entire country and the world witnessed.
