बांस की लकड़ी को क्यों नहीं जलाया जाता है, इसके पीछे धार्मिक कारण है या वैज्ञानिक कारण ? हम अक्सर शुभ (जैसे हवन अथवा पूजन) और अशुभ (दाह संस्कार) कामों के लिए विभिन्न प्रकार के लकड़ियों को जलाने में प्रयोग करते है लेकिन क्या आपने कभी किसी काम के दौरान बांस की लकड़ी को जलता हुआ देखा है। नहीं ना? भारतीय संस्कृती, परंपरा और धार्मिक महत्व के अनुसार, 'हमारे शास्त्रों में बांस की लकड़ी को जलाना वर्जित माना गया है। यहां तक की हम अर्थी के लिए बांस की लकड़ी का उपयोग तो करते है लेकिन उसे चिता में जलाते नहीं।' हिन्दू धर्मानुसार बांस जलाने से पितृ दोष लगता है वहीं जन्म के समय जो नाल माता और शिशु को जोड़ के रखती है, उसे भी बांस के वृक्षो के बीच मे गाड़ते है ताकि वंश सदैव बढ़ता रहे। क्या इसका कोई वैज्ञानिक कारण है? बांस में लेड व हेवी मेटल प्रचुर मात्रा में पाई जाती है। लेड जलने पर लेड ऑक्साइड बनाता है जो कि एक खतरनाक नीरो टॉक्सिक है हेवी मेटल भी जलने पर ऑक्साइड्स बनाते हैं। लेकिन जिस बांस की लकड़ी को जलाना शास्त्रों में वर्जित है यहां तक कि चिता मे भी नही जला सकते, उस बा...
