Some do it for fame some do it for their minds happiness. Philanthropists according to me is not just of giving money. True Philanthropists are those who are contributing to society according to their mettle.
For example, if a person who has 10000/- rupees saving and he donates 1000/- out of the saving for some charity and an another giant corporate gentleman who has net worth of 1 lakh crore rupees and if he donates 1 crore rupees, the donation of the corporate may be seen bigger amount wise, but, in true means, both of them are equally worthy and in some cases, the amount with lesser denomination may overweigh the other.
It is due to the fact that the greatness of donation should not be calculated or estimated just on the basis of the magnitude of the donation, but the value of the money for the donator also need to be considered.
