Swastika It's origin and significance
It is very interesting information about Saptarishi. I remember during my Pre-degree days, one day a class memo was circulated through the Peon which was read out by the lecturer.
It was an information for the students to register their names those who are interested in the study of astronomy. The interested students need to stay back in the college for 2 days whole night.
Will you believe, from the whole college only 2 students had shown interest and one of them was Mr Sanjeev a die-hard SFI follower, my then best friend and the other one was myself.
The instructor was Prof Mustafa. We stayed back, went to his home and reached college play ground with a couple of telescopes. Prof Mustafa had explained to us various movements of the planets and the moon. While watching through the openly placed telescope we can easily judge the movement of moon and stars which we cannot do with naked eyes.
It was during this opportunity we were taught and shown through naked eyes as well as through telescope the "Saptarishi".

Along with Saptarishi, I had the opportunity to watch through telescope the new star being formed namely "Nebula"..... (it is located in the "Orien" group... in between the head of the group).

I am extremely delighted to have found this video in internet which had helped me to remember those golden rare moments of college days.
I have not met or heard anything about my friend Sanjeev who was my best friend of those pre-degree days, I hope this article may help me to know his whereabouts and could probably establish or restore our connections too.
