The biggest offset partner in Rafale deal is DRDO with ₹9,000 crores, & Not Ambani.
Rest ₹21,000 is split into three main manufacturers!.
Thales ₹6,300 crores.
Dassault ₹8,400 crores & Safran ₹6,300 crores!
Offset for Thales is given to 12 Indian companies.
Offset for Dassault to 55 Indian companies!
And offset for Safran to 22 Indian companies!
Ambani's Reliance is one of these 89 companies, clocking only about 3% of the total i.e. around ₹900 crores!

Yes, this truth is known to all educated citizens of the country and who are closely monitoring this issue since day one. I am really surprised to see the immaturity of Shri Rahul Gandhi as he has clearly informed the world that there is some 'hand in glove' between some of the Indians and opposition party of France who wants to prove our government wrong. How come Shri Rahul Gandhi tweet a day before and inform the world that tomorrow a bombshell will fall from Paris?. Is it not good enough to assume using common sense that Mr Hollande is pressurised or forcefully convinced to give the statement which could reap the benefits to both countries opposition parties. The conscience of Mr Hollande is not that much downtrodden and hence as he could not contain his guilt and immediately on the next day gave the reverse statement contradictory to the earlier one.
If you look at the second statement he (Hollande) made on the sidelines of a conference in Montreal, which the AFP has released yesterday, he says, ‘I’m not aware of any pressure created by the GoI for this company. Only Dassault can tell you. The partners had selected themselves. The French government was not involved.’ But that’s correct. Neither the Indian nor French governments are involved.
I am glad that Rahul Gandhi is doing his best to introduce his true face to the Indian public which has resulted in the change in heart of a lot of die-hard congressmen too. Without any doubt, every patriotic Indian are aware that Modi Ji is doing his best with true intention to gallop our country to new heights. It might be true that not all of his efforts have proved to be as good as it was expected. But the intention behind his every move was only the growth of the nation and the attitude of 'India first'. Under the circumstances, if somebody is back of him to disturb him for every wrong reason just due to the fact that they can't any more eschew from Power? The situation is not only ridiculous but very sorry state of affairs. This has forced so many die-hard hardcore congressmen too to think whether they should have a second thought on their political stand or political affinity.
Now coming to the contract between Rafale and its Indian partner Reliance, In 2012, the UPA government had selected the same Rafale from Dassault. Before the minister could sign it, they decided to abandon it. There are two Reliances in the country today. Then during 2012 one Reliance entered into an MoU for Rafale with Dassault. Is there any controversy or illegality on this? Obviously, It is not a crime for any company to be a party to the contract. When they came back in 2014, the 2012 Reliance was no longer in defence; the other Reliance was. This time they showed interest, so there’s been a background to this. And then, they are not interested in the manufacture of Rafale aircraft, because none is going to be manufactured in India under the 2016 contract. Readymade aircraft are going to come in; they are only going to be offset suppliers.
Further, coming to the price factor, we must know the minute aspect of the deal how it is different from the 2007 contract which was abandoned and the 2016 contract where there is huge price variation? I too was let down initially when it was revealed later upon verification it is understood that the 2007 contract was signed only for the aircraft without any additional fittings, whereas the contract signed during 2016 involves not only basic aircraft, but it includes other equipment like extra fittings, the arms which can be loaded on each aircraft. Apart from the above the value of rupees has depreciated a lot vis a vis 2007 which also reflects in the pricing.
Further, as the CAG report is awaited we must wait for it before running into any conclusion. As the government claims, in fact, the price has been reduced by 9% due to fresh negotiation apart from one of the most important aspects of this renewed deal wherein rest of the Rafale would be manufactured in India under ToT (Transfer of Technology) basis.
So I request Shri Rahul Gandhi just not to try to delude Indians with false information. If at all there is anything true in your claims them come with solid facts and figures with authenticated claims instead of just "beating around the bush". We have elected a government with a lot of ambitions and let them do their job. Let us not disturb them thus causing harm to the nation especially in those matters which is directly connected to nations integrity and security. Don't try to fry your political ambitions at the expense of our Nation.
