Ganesh Uthsav An appeal with genuine facts

Shri Ganesh Utsav one of the most charismatic festival in India celebrated with full enthusiasm from each and every devotes irrespective of their age.

This 10 days festival was started celebrating since the idea for the same was conceived and established by one of the notable freedom fighter Shri Bal Ganghadar Tilak. 

This gruesome reflection of the situation after the Visarjan is not only extremely painful, but it also loudly and strictly appeal every true devotee to compels to think in the manner I have expressed my suggestion through this article 

One of the most important and basic reason behind 10 days festival is due to an idea of Bal Ganghadar Tilak as it was one of the great useful opportunity for the much needed get together of patriotic freedom fighters to discuss and plan which otherwise was not possible due to strict vigilance and restrictions from then British Government.

But of late, the festival though is a huge blessing for crores of devotees, a few thousands of them are not at all serious with respect to the environment with respect to the holiness with which the Visarjan needed to be done, with respect to the material with which Lord Shri Ganesh is made up of, with respect to immersion place of Lord Shri Ganesha. and lot more of them.

Keeping in view the above obstacles in mind I suggest, we must switch from the custom of bringing a new Ganesha at Home and offices, instead we must find a permanent pristine idol of Lord Shri Ganesh made up of Copper, Bronze or any other alloy or made up of wood etc, which can be properly "pranapradistta" done and placed in the Pooja room and the same idol can be brought to the main room during these holy days of celebration starting from "Ganesh Chaturthi".

This will help us saving the rivers and ponds from getting polluted due to toxic materials used to make the Idols as well as, importantly, the same may save the idols from undergoing embarrassing handling during immersion while Visarjan.

It is worth mentioning that, it is better to stop this culture of bringing temporary arrangement of the most pristine idol of Lord Shri Ganesh after enjoying all the holy pristine poojas for 10 days only to be abondoned (Some of the devotees act does not allow to use the word "Visarjan") later without any feelings to the fate of the idol afterwards.
