Dynasty in Politics A Review

India is the world's largest democratic country. But if the very political parties which are contesting the elections are not democratic, then the first and foremost basic qualification required for democracy stand canceled ridiculously. Yes, that is the basic truth. But those dynasty-minded parties are still lucky as 60% of Indian voters are still not fully matured to get this reality in their blood. That is why in spite of the fact that they were trounced completely in both 2014 and repeated the same even harder in the 2019 general elections, still are managing to secure double-digit seats here and there.

In a nutshell, only 40% of Indian voters have awakened from a slumber which produced this result. So just imagine and conclude when the entire nation's voter will awake from slumber, the party which is truly Nationalist will win with a margin of 65 to 70% of votes in the most constituency. Even out of 52 seats secured by Congress, 12 of them from Kerala are the lucky counts as they are the results more due to hatred towards CPM rather than pro-Congress. 

Yes, I definitely consider the 60% of Indian voters are still not really understood how bad it is to have a dynasty mindset within the party in a democratic country. So today the pathetic situation of certain political parties including congress is only due to the Modi wave. So it is very simple to imagine the situation or pathetic condition these parties may be put into in the future when Indian voters may get more literate and mature and start realizing the importance of democracy within the party first to rule a nation?.

The Dynasty could be the biggest curse for the party and eventually to the nation due to the following reasons. Dynasty denies talents to flourish, it is equivalent to, thus party indirectly wasting its energy to the drain...? 

Dynasty bypasses the best lot available to the different posts which not only includes PM posts but also CM and other ministries. The compromise due to dynasty mindset would eat into the growth of the country, as more efficient and talented would be sitting on the bench watching the lesser efficient is handling the affairs. 

For example, If dynasty were applied in cricket, Rohan Gavaskar (Son of legend Sunil Gavaskar) would have chosen instead of giving a chance to then 16-year-old budding talent Sachin Tendulkar and in the contemporary situation, Junior Tendulkar would have got the place instead of Virat Kohli. So can we imagine the loss, cricket would have suffered if dynasty was applied in sports as well? 

Yes, in sports it is never applied. then why it is in politics?. When we choose dynasty against talent in politics, we are not only doing discrimination against talents but are involved in a crime against humanity as in politics a right person at place create revolutionary opportunities and solutions for the world's smaller and prominent issues. 

Today, thankfully BJP is the only political party that banks purely on talent, miles, and miles away from the dynasty. For a democratic country if elections are contested by a few parties where all except one is depending on either 100% dynasty or a desperate inclination towards dynasty while on the other hand, BJP, the only party which has internal democracy too, the results are clearly visible. From here onwards every year after year Indian citizens would become more and more aware of the need to identify and eliminate dynasty attitudes from Indian minds.

 It has to be noted, you may not find a single appeasement appointment in BJP irrespective of the person's stature. That was the reason why Shri LK Advani was not offered the Presidential post even though it was widely speculated. Behind every decision of BJP, it has 2 or 3 known reasons, and 10 or 12 political reasons unknown for the ordinary layman. The party sincerely and strictly take every move in the interest of the party and once elections are over, the same party makes every decision in the interest of the nation. (What else could a citizen expect from a political party).

Having said that, let me be specific and clarify that when I say dynasty should not be supported, it does not mean to neglect siblings of great leaders if they are talented. Yes, the opportunity to the siblings of great leaders too should be there to reach desired heights in their political ambitions. But they must prove that they deserve the post and they really should earn it by proving their mettle at lower posts instead of para drop for the top post. 

Why Congress which happened to be the biggest party of Independent India has reached a pathetic state where the like-minded opposition parties with common goals are treating Congress in a stepbrother attitude?

The reasons are one and simple, Congress keeps throwing the talents away from the party in order to facilitate the post of PM to its dynasty irrespective of his potential, leadership skills, communication skills, vision, etc.

Congress leaders like KC Pant, VP Singh, ND Tiwari, Janardhan Pujari, Narasimha Rao, Sharad Pawar, PA Sangma, Arjun Singh, Madhav Rao Scindia, Rajesh Pilot, Mamta Banerjee, Pranab Mukherjee, Natwar Singh were sidelined to sworn Late Rajiv Gandhi as PM after 1984 unfortunate incident. Why..? Remember, Late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi was the least talented person among the above lot I managed to mention. Rajiv's only experience was that of a Pilot.

If, instead of sidelining all the above talents, if congress had acted as a party that recognized every deserving talent as per their merits, then today political party like BJP which is considered as the most patriotic and Nationalist party of India, would not have crossed 3 digit seats in general elections. 

The only way how Congress can revive its lost glory is by removing the "Reservation" of PM post within the party which is reserved for only one family for decades. Instead of the same, they go to any extent to eliminate the obstacles in their path thus forcing every self-respecting new generation to think 10 times before joining the party at the grass-root level. Yes adopting democracy within the party first will bring in equal opportunity for all the leaders on the top as well from the grassroots level workers. 

The naked truth is that Congress is a Family party under the disguise of a national party that shouts constantly that all are slaves of one family whose caste, religion, and even nationality were under question from time to time. 

Best of luck Congress leaders, to realize and rectify the above after proper analysis and understanding the facts, because Congress can still rise like a Phoniex bird provided it drops its dynasty attitude. But unfortunately, the last and the strongest congressman was Pranab sir, but he too was sent out of Congress forcefully to reserve the seat of PM to Rahul in a most graceful and disguised way. 

Congress still has time to untie the suicide rope knotted by themselves. Better late than never.
