Tulsi Vivah Dev Uthani Ekadashi Wishes
Tulsi Vivah is a custom of ceremonial marriage between Tulsi plant (Holy Basil) to God Shri Vishnu or his avatar Shri Krishna. The Tulsi wedding signifies the beginning of the season for the wedding as per Hinduism.
The ceremonial spiritually important festival is performed between 'Pradodhini Ekadashi' and 'Kartik Poornima' (the full Moon of the month).
Tulsi is considered as the wife of Lord Vishnu and is also known as "Vishnupriya" (beloved of Shri Vishnu). the Scripture "Padma Purana" provides complete information about the rites of "Tulsi Vivah" and its spiritual reason.
According to the Hindu scriptures, the ceremonial festival is performed anytime between Prabodhini Ekadashi (the eleventh or twelfth lunar day of the bright fortnight of the Hindu month of Kartik) and Kartika Poornima( the full moon of the month). The day varies regionally.
