Unlike a few other minerals Calcium is not produced in our body and hence our body totally relies on external intake of Calcium for the needs of the body. So it is important that we make sure we consume Calcium-rich food in our daily diet. Curds and milk are some of the common Calcium-rich food available.
Another important matter that needs to be noted is that calcium cannot be absorbed in our body without the support of Vitamin D. So for a good calcium-rich body we must have sufficient Vitamin D in our body which will help to absorb the Calcium from our food intake. We all know sufficient Vitamin D could be produced in our body by exposing ourselves to sunshine as Sunshine is one of the prominent sources of Vitamin D.
It is important to know that deficiency of Calcium could lead to weak bones related disease known as osteoporosis. (It is a disease that happens due to low density of bones which is a result of Calcium deficiency) and at the same time, excess calcium too could land you in trouble with the symptoms of gas, constipation, and bloating.
