MS Dhoni A Ravi Shastri in making

Yes, those who are minimum 42+ old and were cricket fans then, then you could easily understand what I am pointing through the 'title' of this article. Ravi Shastri was 'booed' by the Indian fans in their constant efforts to ridicule him continuously every time he enters the ground to bat or while returning to the pavilion after getting out...  The Indian fans got into such a habit due to Ravi Shastri's late poor form, and as he was unable to score runs and was wasting balls too at crucial times during the fag end of his career.

The same(Booing) was more due to the reason just like Mr. Dhoni, Ravi Shastri too was not only one of the best accountable, reliable all-rounder but he won several matches to India due to his sheer batting, bowling and fielding excellence which has given him the "Champion of Champion" title at Benson and Hedges which got him an "Audi" Car too. 

I am and I may remain a huge fan of MS Dhoni for what he was and for his contribution to Indian and world cricket. Having said that I would like to register my sincere and most painful annoyance towards his lackluster attitude towards minimizing the run gap between India and England if not trying to win. He was spending time in the middle that too with a full-time batsman in the form of Kedhar Jadhav and that too a few more wickets in hand. But MS could not imagine that with 60 balls remaining trying to reach nearby 100 runs could be a difficult task but not an impossible one. 

The most painful part is, Dhoni never tried to chase the target.. as a 30 balls 62 runs stage was full of casual singles with no attempts for big shots. He probably forgot that he is representing 130 crore Indians and their expectations rather than the local Ranchi Street team. Though it is true that a win or loss was not going to affect India's fortune towards its Semifinal berth, witnessing an all-out effort to win the match then losing would have been most satisfying. But, instead of a full-throttle attempt to throw his bat and give his best, he preferred to keep trying effortless singles and "adding fuel to the fire", his concern for his 50 in the last over was just like rubbing salt on the wound.
