The 'Shariat' being followed by Islamic people was in fact introduced by Moses as then the life of people in the region was in a big mess and was equal to life in Hell. So in order to reform them and bring in fear in their mind so that they can be pulled out of the hell, Moses introduced 'Shariat law' which was the need of the hour as per the then time. But later he abandoned the law but Muslims of those time after the Period of Prophet Shri Mohammed who was one among the ten Prophets who Incarnated on earth to uplift mankind adopted it and was established.

According to an ancient book, Moses died at the age of 120 on Mount Nebo in the East Bank, after he had seen the land beyond the Jordan from this mountain: He had not been allowed to enter this land like all other Israelites of his generation. Moses was buried "opposite Bet-Pegor" in an unknown place.
