Punjab wheat procurement touches all time high
Riding on direct payment, Punjab wheat procurement hits an all-time new high.
Government agencies have procured 132.08 lakh metric tonnes of wheat, 2 lakh metric tonnes more than the target set by the state, with more than 9 lakh farmers receiving over Rs 23,000 crore directly into their bank accounts.
It is to be noted that the amount towards this bumper procurement has been transferred directly to the farmer's account.
It is pleasing to realize that slowly and practically Indian farmers in general and Punjabi farmers, in particular, started realizing, rather than tasting the benefits of the new Farms law.
I pray to every citizen of our great country irrespective of whether you are a farmer or not to help spread the real facts about new farm laws and how it may change the life's of farmers and thus serve this nation by helping it to get rid of from the clutches of "pseudo-farmers", misguided farmers as well as "selfish anti-nationals" behind this agitation.
