Reduction of Army strength Reason

It is a great move by the Indian government with an intention to balance the defense budget, Indian government has decided to reduce the strength of the Indian army by a few lakhs so that the saving thus obtained due to the same may help buy modern military equipment for the defense. 

I have noticed that as usual opposition has started hue and cry over the issue. In order to put to rest the apprehensions in the minds of neutral citizens of our nation, I would like to clarify the same with the following example. 

When Indian banks were brought under computerization for the first time, automatically the workload of employees got reduced and as a result of the same, the strength of staffs of various branches was reduced proportionately. 

Similarly, the present Indian government is busy on a war footing in the modernization as well as strengthening of the Indian army. In the last 7 years government has successfully made great inroads towards the goal and the same attracts, demands huge investments and hence the government has decided to reduce the army strength which will no way weaken Indian defense as it has got itself strengthened and is being strengthened better to best due to the up-gradation of our defense system with the latest technology available in the contemporary world. 

Further, reducing Army strength does not mean that government will ask to resign or dismiss a couple of lakhs of army personnel on a "blue moon" day..., but it only means India may reduce filling the vacancy with respect to the retirement of senior army personnel. 

Thus the necessary reduction could be automatically attained. I hope the above information is good enough and request opposition spokespersons to restrain misleading the public with any new cock and bull stories.
