Sanatana Dharma needs a Head body
I am glad one of my friends Mr. Subot Ray Chaudhary has raised his concern on this topic which was, of late lingering in my mind too...and hence this article.
Muslims both Shia and Sunni have a head-body in India to control any matter of their interest and Christianity too has its religion's head in the form of Bishops and Pope's whereas Hinduism or Sanatana Dharma is the oldest of them does not have any in India.
It is high time a "Head body" in the interest of Sanatana Dharma is established which could take decisions in the interest of the religion which could not only help bring unity among the scattered religion but also will strengthen them in many ways. The availability of such a Head body would have helped during this kind of function of Kumbh etc.
It is very painful as well as ridiculous to see this level of negligence of Santana Dharma's so-called caretakers who never uttered a single opinion against the possible catastrophic effect that these kinds of extraordinary get-togethers can bring not only to the life's of the respected Saints and devotees, but also the possibilities of widespread of pandemic after a month or so from now...
I wholeheartedly, endorse the suggestion of establishing a top body that could be entrusted the responsibilities of issues related to Hindu Religion Sanatana Dharma.
But the biggest impediments towards the same would be that the possibility of political wolves which could try to draw divisions among Brahmins, Rajputs, Scheduled Castes, Yadavs, so that the so-called body may get derailed from being established.
Anyway, initiatives towards the much-needed governing head for Sanatana Dharma must be there and once there is an initiative, in due course of time it may come into existence. Of course, the governing body should have 2 representatives each from every community to avoid controversies
