One of the greatest confessions by Congress leader on the floor of parliament through UPA's then Defence Minister Mr AK Antony
AK Antony is one of the senior-most Mr. Clean image-bearing Congress leaders from the South. He is an honest leader since the beginning of his political career and he was always concerned about his image and this was one of the biggest impediments due to which he was reluctant to initiate any much-needed defence deals to meet the nation's emergency requirements.
He probably knew for certain that, keeping in view the history of Congress defense deals in spite of his strict vigilance it could be impossible to complete any deal without kickbacks.
Yes, while I would appreciate his honesty and concern for corruption, I cannot eschew blaming him for his irresponsibility and inefficiency as the minister of our nation.
