Lakshmibai, the Rani of Jhansi, was the bold Indian queen of the Maratha princely state of Jhansi in North India. She was one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857 and became not only a symbol of resistance who revolted against the British but also became a motivational personality that helps more Indians to awake them against the British Raj.
