Revolutionary Ram Prasad Bismil (1897 - 1927)

11 जून 1897 - महान क्रांतिकारी पं राम प्रसाद बिस्मिल की जन्म जयन्ती। 

19 दिसम्बर 1927 - गोरखपुर जेल में फाँसी का फंदा चूम कर अमरत्व प्राप्त किया।

हिंदुस्तान रिपब्लिकन एसोसिएशन के प्रमुख, काकोरी क्रान्ति के मुखिया। 19 दिसम्बर 1927 को जब फांसी के तख्ते पर लेने वाले आये, तो वे 'वन्दे मातरम' और 'भारत माता की जय' कहते हुए खुद चल दिये।चलते समय पण्डित जी ने कहा...

"मालिक तेरी रजा रहे और तू ही तू रहे, बाकी न मैं रहूँ, न मेरी आरजू रहे। जब तक कि तन में जान रग़ों में लहू रहे, तेरा हो जिक्र या तेरी ही जुस्तजू रहे।।" 

फाँसी घर के दरवाजे पर पहुंच कर उन्होंने उच्च स्वर में ललकारते हुए गर्जना की ... "मैं ब्रिटिश साम्राज्य का विनाश चाहता हूँ "। इसके बाद फाँसी के तख्त पर खड़े होकर पण्डित जी ने प्रार्थना की ' विश्वानि देव सवितुरदुरितानि....' आदि मन्त्रों का जाप करते हुए फाँसी के फंदे को अपने गले मे डाल लिया और अमरत्व प्राप्त किया।

It is greatest of pain to realize that how corrupt was Indian education system which either conspired to hide numerous sacrifices of the greatest of souls only to help eradicate the Indians from its memory its past bravery, glory, and sacrifices which could have enthused the Indians with pride and made them courageous or distracted the facts with wrong theories (narratives) against the truth and reality. 

I strongly suggest Indian history chapters must include in its syllabus every name from the history who had been instrumental in the independence of India however small maybe their contribution. 

It means the Indian government should make initiatives towards every name from the history of India not only of those who achieve martyrdom but also those who were not martyred but had a definite contribution to India's Independence.
